Japanese Soapland Price Guide

For foreign visitors · 18+ · all prices are estimates

Japanese "soapland" pricing works a little differently from other countries. The price depends mainly on the shop class and course length, and is usually shown as a single total. This page explains the typical ranges, what the price includes, the extras you should expect, and shops you can actually visit.

Price ranges by class (estimate)

Class Total (est.) Course
Budget ¥11,000 〜 ¥22,000 40–75 min
Mid-range ¥22,000 〜 ¥38,000 60–90 min
Luxury ¥38,000 〜 ¥70,000 80–120 min
Premium ¥70,000 〜 120 min+

* General estimates of the total price (bathing fee + service fee). Actual prices vary by area, shop, day and time. Nomination fees and options may be extra. Check each shop page for exact prices.

What is included and what costs extra

Cash is standard (some shops accept cards).

Differences by area

Soaplands are only allowed in certain districts, and some areas are famous. For example, Nakasu in Fukuoka is one of Japan's major soapland districts with a wide range of price points. Below we list the soaplands featured on our site by area.

FAQ

Q. How much does a Japanese soapland cost?

It depends mainly on the shop class and course length. As a rough guide: budget shops total around ¥11,000–22,000, mid-range ¥22,000–38,000, and luxury ¥38,000–70,000. Nomination fees and options may cost extra.

Q. What does the price include? What is "total price"?

In Japan, a soapland price is usually shown as a single "total price" that combines the shop's bathing fee and the woman's service fee. The course service is included in that total, but nomination fees, options, extensions and late-night/weekend surcharges may be extra. Always check each shop page.

Q. Are there extra charges?

Yes, sometimes. Common extras are nomination fees (to choose a specific woman), photo/repeat nomination, options, course extensions, and late-night/early-morning/weekend surcharges. Some shops also charge a membership fee. It is safest to assume these may be added on top of the total.

Q. Can foreigners use a soapland?

Some shops welcome foreign guests. You may be asked to show ID (e.g., passport) for age verification. See our foreigner guide for how it works and etiquette.
